How to type it

{ is the right pinky with Shift; } is the right pinky with Shift.

Common uses

• In mathematics, curly braces enclose the members of a set, as in {1, 2, 3}.
• They also group lines together in outlines and diagrams.

Less common uses

• In C, Java, and JavaScript, curly braces mark the beginning and end of a block of code.
• JSON data wraps each object in curly braces.
• Many template systems use double braces, as in {{name}}, to insert a value.
