Common uses

• A week has seven days.
• The rainbow is traditionally described as having seven colors.

Less common uses

• On a standard die, opposite faces add up to seven.
• When people are asked to pick a number from one to ten, 7 is the most common choice.
• Many Europeans write 7 with a short crossbar.
